Way back in 1995, I launched a cooking show on Portland public access television. It was a supernatural comedy-adventure series called “Eat Me,” I played a dominatrix-witch that also happened to host of a cooking show, and every episode revolved around a fight between good and evil, with cooking segments in between. Sadly, it was about 20 years ahead of its time, and I’ve intentionally kept the archives off the internet.

Cooking content has come a long way since Julia Child. When I created the “Does It Float” series, I wanted to develop a series that wasn’t the standard ASMR or in-your-face style of content replete on TikTok and Instagram. And I wanted viewers to understand the power that they have to improvise in the kitchen, with the help of an amazing improvisational tool.
